Taser X-26 class
Taser X-26
M-26 & X-26 Taser Training at AKI

Security guards learn about a force continuum in which they understand the appropriate levels of force that is legal to use when suspected intruders trespass or attempt to trespass in protected areas or when a violent criminal commits an act.
When deadly force may not be necessary, it simply makes sense to have an option between physical strength, which is finite, and a bullet, which is fatal. After all, TASER guns emit electrical charges that only temporarily incapacitate individuals but they incapacitate them. If a suspect is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or in emotional distress, the TASER gun will subdue him or her successfully without causing permanent injury.

Security guards put themselves in the face of danger every shift they work. Though their job description does not require them to make arrests, it does ask that the security guards do everything in their power to keep their post criminal-free. However, training for security guards is rigorous and physical fitness is of utmost importance, sometimes a protective device like the TASER gun is what it takes to keep all parties involved safe.

Use of a Stun Gun or Air Taser will be applied towards your 4-hour elective requirement. AKI Security Training Center is certified by Taser International for Law Enforcement and Security training with the M-26 and X-26 Taser. Course requirements are 8 hours of instruction with firing a minimum of two Air Taser cartridges. Students are not required to be tased but can at their own request, video will be given to any student that is tased. Class includes 8 hours of instruction, class materials (2 cartridges) and certificate of completion.

For those who try the shoot 1 caliber and get signed off on others, this is the BSIS Website answer.  BSIS is enforcing this now and if your instructor gets caught, all his students are subject to loose extra calibers as well as being re-tested by the state or having their firearms permit revoked.

A. Firearm Requalifications Reminder
BSIS Link
http://www.dca.ca.gov/bsis/publications/trainfacdidyouknow.htm

It has come to our attention that Firearm Permit renewal applicants are not requalifying with all calibers at each mandatory requalification. This notice is to provide clarification about that issue.

An individual who possesses a Firearm Permit must requalify with all calibers listed on their permit each time they shoot. If all calibers are not included on each mandatory requalification, the individual risks losing the authorization to carry the additional calibers.

The Firearm Instructor is responsible for seeing that the application, prior to submission to the Bureau, is completed as required.

Beware of Security Guard companies that will take the fees out of your check for the remaining 32 hour of instruction (These are in Modules set by the state, NONE ARE ON THE JOB TRAINING!!!).
Check the BSIS website to make sure the instructor is BSIS certified (Verify a License). Ask for the total costs and make sure you get your CERTIFICATE from them. Its yours and you own it, along with your guard card!!!

This is to important to overlook!!!

It has been brought to my attention 4 times this year, some Security Guard companies are getting their Guards in trouble and leaving them out to dry. This is how it happens, They tell their Security Guards that they have or their Attorney's have contacted the local police and the police told them the Security Guard can "CARRY Concealed" their firearms.  Thats because you are on private land and the owner says its OK.

NOW !!!! the LAW States, and its was on your test.  YOU MAY NEVER CARRY Concealed without a CCW Issued by  your local law enforcement to you!!  The police "SHALL ARREST" for a FELONY - NOT MAY but MUST!!!  That's right you will go to JAIL loose your right to OWN A FIREARM  FOR LIFE!!  And the BSIS WILL PULL all your permits.  Don't take my word for it CALL the POLICE or the BSIS and ASK!!  I know of one Security Officer that didn't ask and I got the call from LAPD for his tests results and guess what.... He got busted and the Guard company walked!!!

Security Guard Company Training

This training is NOT FREE, ask how much will be taken each week from your paycheck for the training and do you have to pay the state fees or is it included in the training. Then how much will you get paid per hour if they train you, then what about the 40 hours of training that is required by the state, NONE of the 40 hours of training is done while standing post, it's the law...

You cannot stand post or work as a Security Guard until you have your Guard Card, please check the link to the BSIS on our website for more information. We have seen a few courses that Security Officers were charged for that are not state approved or required, check the list on the BSIS website for the list of approved courses.

Your Guard Card MUST HAVE your CURRENT ADDRESS in the face of the Guard Card, NOT the Security Companies address, its the law.. You own your guard card not the guard company..
